@badideaguy would it be possible in the future for it to be programmed in a way where it could say “I don’t know” or “I’m not confident” based on the scenario? Could it offer a % of confidence or something like that?

They absolutely can and do that.
The problem is that it has to be confident in the amount of confidence it has.
His math is right. AI will ALWAYS hallucinate. The rate at which it hallucinates will (theoretically) go down.
