IRIS Lavan (514) docked at the Port of Kochi following engine troubles, government officials told Indian news outlet Wion, which first reported
the docking. The 2,500-ton Hengam-class landing ship requested access
to the port after experiencing engine troubles before the U.S.-Israel
conflict with Iran began Feb. 2.
Lavan’s crew of 183 are being held at Indian Navy

"South Korea is opposed to the U.S. moving air defense assets out of the country, but it is not in a position to make demands, President Lee Jae Myung said Tuesday.
Lee briefed the Cabinet that “The USFK may dispatch some air defense systems abroad in accordance with its own military needs. While we have expressed opposition, the reality is that we cannot fully push through our position.”
The USFK refers to U.S. Forces Korea, the command authority for Washington’s forces in South Korea, with about 28,500 personnel.
South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun reportedly said on Friday that Washington was in talks with Seoul over redeploying Patriot air defense batteries in South Korea for use in the conflict in the Middle East."

“In Khamenei’s will, he explicitly asked Mojtaba not to be named as successor,” said Khosro Isfahani, a research director for the opposition group National Union for Democracy with ties to Iranian intelligence.
“Mojtaba is an impotent young cleric who has achieved nothing in terms of political life,” Isfahani said, explaining that the late Khamenei felt his son lacked the experience or capability to run Iran.
