Mass Shootings, Why Are Some Treated Differently Than Others

Some of these tragic events seem to grab the attention of politicians and the news media, others quickly fade away, quickly forgotten. Wonder why?

Maybe it's early, but I'm not seeing the usually suspects getting their faces in front of the microphones lecturing us about racism, guns, etc.
