My wife's biggest pet peeves of being a steward are call-ins (or call-outs depending on what part of the country you are in) and tardiness (lates). She is always saying "how do you want me to fight this? Just show up and show up on time". She knows the tricks and she'll always help people who need time off; helping them switch vacation weeks with management, helping them set up FMLA, etc. But if you just can't show up and on time, there's just nothing she can do.
The company’s newest dirty trick is trying to give progressive discipline based off reports that say packages are on your car due to those new pal labels that have track of some sort. Sorry it doesn’t work that way.
