Throwing money at losers and he wants me to watch his podcast?

Let's give him a shout-out?

I don’t know, brother Hooker well enough to say either way. But I do know enough about the campaign he ran to ask you why you would say that he’s a real G?

His campaign was legendary as being the first campaign to ever run and not be able to not even get on the ballot. Kind of stunning since many years ago TDU lowered the bar to make it even easier to get on the ballot.

I listened to a few of his posts about why he was running, and he had no vision, no real change of direction that was meaningful. Just didn’t like the current leadership.

There’s been plenty of complaints about the current leadership and you would think it would been quite easy to put together a strong opposition, but he was completely incapable of doing it. Again, he might be a good Union brother, but this was a pathetic attempt that had no business even trying.

Rich is a friend of mine and he does run his local very well.

That being said you hit the nail on the head. My biggest complaint about how he ran his campaign was there was no platform. It was mostly him complaining about Sean. But even then though. Taking that position is a multi layered step. You need locals that back you, and a lot of them. Even if Rich did get on the ballot every local across the country would be at every barn telling you to vote OZ.

You can watch Seans podcast instead

The way I hear it, Rich was very "jelly" when he wasn't included on the first OZ Slate, while his neighbor Vinnie Perrone was chosen to be a Trustee instead.

....then in his "jelly-like" state, Rich attempted to capitalize on perceived racial issues and courted the TNBC almost exclusively.

This was his only discernable platform present in what little campaign he ran and was absolutely ridiculous and nobody was buying.

He's a clown.

Do you think Greg has $500 for me, so I can get off the government cheese?

Doesn't matter if you like him or not but at least he is trying.

You can take anyone's advice 1pp% but honestly and sadly it us truly sad how many members have zero fucking clue about anything.

Some of the people I work with would be better off, putting their money in a shitty savings account than what they do with it!

They’re broke by Friday lol

You just made a bunch of assumptions. None of which is actually true. Rich and Sean's beef goes way back. But at this point im used to you making wacky claims and preach it as gospel. Let alone you dont know any of these people personally.

I just know he runs a Facebook 401k group,

....and gave Hooker $500.

Lmao

If that is true, $500 is a big chunk of money for most of us. Big red flag to me.

I could use that $500 for groceries.

Now you are making assumptions.

To Greg its not. Its normal for him to do stuff like that.

Now you are making assumptions.

You literally just said Hooker ran out of being jealous. I read it to Rich and he actually started laughing. Just like you said many years ago I ran because I didn't get a BA job. Which is another lie and pretty darn funny. You are the king of making assumptions. But whatever. Im done clowning on you. Keep lying to the 3 same people that listen to you on here. I gotta do productive stuff in life. Hopefully one day you cancel me, its only been 4 years. Maybe this year is your lucky one.

He literally ran a white paper ballot last election.

Not to be labor the point but if he didn’t run out of jealousy or some sort of axe to grind, what the hell did he run for? He certainly never articulated any valid reason. If I were brother Hooker‘s Friend, I would’ve advised him not to make a fool of himself and run a campaign this way, I certainly wouldn’t have given him money to throw down the drain. To me, that’s what a good friend would have done. I believe in the right members to form opposition when they have a valid reason and vision. This was not that.

We did talk to him and he was hell set on running. His beef started back in 2013 when 623 was one of the three locals that had their contracts pushed through when they voted no on it. Ken Hall and Sean were running the contract campaign back then. But even after that Rich did some stuff I wasn't in favor of. So I am not going to say one said was right and one side was wrong.

When you did the donation you can donate anonymously, but Greg isn't hiding from it and I don't blame him. The back and forth is just childish and hurts the members. If he wants to give 500 bucks to a friend go for it. He has offered money to me for gear on the podcast. I only have positive things to say about Greg.

But I do agree, democracy is always healthy. Anybody who makes the dumb excuses that "it costs money" is it in for other reasons. Anyways I have a ton of work on my hands so I cant keep coming back here. Just wanted to reply to you because it was the only sensible comment left on here. Mostly everything is bubblehead posts is a stretch of the truth or factually incorrect.

I’ve been around a while and I’ve been a delegate multiple times. The pressure and division was 10 times worse during the Hoffa years. The 2016 convention was brutal for Zuckerman. But he had a valid reason for running and a strong showing in the election.

And I also agree democracy is great, but I also preface that by saying it looks shabby when you run a campaign with no direction simply to put your name out there., and yes, it certainly does cost a lot of money, pretending that’s not an issue is putting your head in the sand. If you have strong support and a different vision than the current leader leadership then yes go for it.

Just at my local Union I happen to know the last election cost over $40,000. The group that ran against the incumbents got less than 10% of the vote. That was the members money that was in my opinion, squandered for a vanity reason.
