Who is on medicare, and can share if they have advantage or supplement plan?
Who did you get your plan through, and good as well as not so good experiences?
Would like to hear from all on medicare.
Thank you!

You can have either an advantage or supplement plan but not both. For most people the advantage is better but for some (I think if you have high medical costs) the supplement might be better. I have an advantage but my brother-in-law has a supplement. There are a confusing amount of options and there is no one best choice for everyone. Luckily there are many sources online to help you out but it is still a big headache.

Also, plans change every year so after you pick one for this you you might need to switch to a different plan the next year. Free to do that during the open enrollment period (Oct-Dec I think).

I have a Humana plan now. I changed to Medical Mutual for one year but then later switched back to Humana. What doctors are in network and the plan you have may not be offered again the next year.

I talked to a guy who retired after me but is older and is off TeamCare, he said that TeamCare offers a Medicare supplement, but only offer it once for a short time if you don't accept it you miss out. Anyone hear about that?

Teamcare gold, it is Humana advantage plans only though. I am leaning toward a supplement plan.

Retired co worker has advantage plan, after the first year, it was discontinued and was a royal pain to find another. Then she finds some of her drs are not in the new plan.

Another concern, if you have to see a specialist outside your coverage area,is that massive$$$ you owe?
