Im still having so e issues with my part time.

I cant log in to the Retirement page. Sent an email, super efficient UPS said:"Your issue will be assigned to someone within 5 business days. You will get a response by 3 weeks (not counting weekends)"
Yeah, they suck.
Im in a different plan than you but I did need t he following paperwork
For the full tine I need my wife's and my birth certificate plus a copy of our marriage certificate.
For thr part time I needed a copy of both of our driver's license and marriage certificate.
And if you didn't take out at least 59% survivorship you had to get that paperwork notarized.
Amiright? It's stupid to wait on collecting Social Security, right? If you wait a year to get a bigger monthly payment?A one year wait gets you about $90 more per month. But in the meantime, you lose your monthly payment times 12 months. The break even point is like 13 YEARS.Take it right away, right? What did you do, Mr @gumby ?
I went on line and got my social security estimate.
If o take it at age 62 it would basically take me to age 80 and 3 months to before I broke even until waiting to age 70 to collect.
The simple mat I used was .I took 18 years of payments starting at age 62.
Then I took 10 years of payments starting at the 70.
No real right answer here.
But if you don't need all of thst money from social security and you invest some of it into something low risk the age may be greater.
So, one financial guy told me I should hold off on SS by using the buyout money. (I need more than just the pension to enjoy my current lifestyle!).But after figuring that break even date, I disagree.Take SS right away, and invest/save the buyout money. That's my current plan...
Afe you.old enough now to collect?
