Just because you work in a right to work state does not make you a scab, not paying dues as that. Also, in a right to work state where I’m at. We’ve always had a very high participation rate. Most of the ones who don’t join or rarely working for the company more than a year.

Yes, but that would take every employee doing what was required of them to receive that money. No way are they getting 100% to comply. If I remember in 97 we had maybe 50% of our buildings employees do time on the line.

WE had a 100% participation for both strikes. We sat up a huge Army tent across the street from UPS (the business that owned the lot was friends of ours). We had electricity (generators), refrigerated coolers, barbeque grills, and a beer distributor friend of mine who was VERY generous with beer donations. The city even made UPS rent a port-a-pot for us. Never did understand why but it was good to have. We grilled up everything from chicken to burgers and even a bear roast. Yellow Freight dropped off 2 cases of Coke for us and others donated food stuffs, water and other stuff all the time. We were prepared for the LONG HAUL. Screw your measly strike fund Teamsters.
