You may actually have to go to get a job.

Bite your tongue, sir

They'll get takers at those prices.

You know how many 5 year guys are ready to jump ship?

Only the Jews will take it.

So what you gon buy, my nigga?

My house, the land to the west and the land to the east. That'll give me some investing $, probably but some bonds for the kids that mature when they're 18.

If I get nothing, I just carry on with my existing plan and life seems like it's heading in a good direction.

Show me the 💰 🤑 🤑 💰 🤑 🤑 💰

Whoever took the last buyout gonna be pissed!

On suicide watch. 🤣

I think the company is setting up for a showdown to try to break the union.

It’s already broken from within. UPS is just gearing up to deliver the final blow while it’s down.

The union is going to be left with a lot of relatively low seniority guys that the company can manipulate or exchange for new clowns when the others quit. Lot of churn. No good can come from this for the teamsters.

Seems like that already. But you’re right and it will get worse. The union will be dominated by snowflakes that call the ethics line every time they don’t get their way. It will be interesting. My goal was to make it to age 55 and retire. That’s not too far off. But I will definitely still be here to see the demise.

I'm pretty sure if they offered 2 dollars an hour in exchange for the part timer's insurance, the part timers would vote 90% for it.

I mean.
In a theoretical world where part timers vote.

There is a hack to get all of them to vote. Accept all votes through the ethics line. 🤣

This is how it’s unfair to some esp when not negotiated by the union. Many could have waited. Some bid out of driving now stuck and left out. Many not being offered.

Pay and benefits in the contract are always worded as “minimums” so that is probably how UPS legally gets away with it. That, and offering it to a specific classification of employees that is severely overstaffed. I prefer this method of trimming the fat over them simply laying the majority of excess drivers off and trying to fire the rest. The potential negative effects on our pension are what concerns me.

LMAO! overstaffing? Clearly you don't work at UPS

Reading this carefully I think it's scheme to divide, conquer and break the union. The buyout, if it happens ain't happening anytime soon

What’s wrong with negotiating on trimming the fat?

It’s already been negotiated in the supplements. To avoid laying off so many people they are offering an incentive.

LMAO! Having to send people home in droves every day throughout the year, while also shrinking the company, is not because of over staffing?

Trimming as in buyouts not lay off language to negotiate. I feel it be a more fair way for everyone like I said in original comment. Just my opinion where I was there as a teamster mechanic and drivers less time than me got the buy out and others that have more years bid into other jobs are also not included in the buyout. 30 plus year part time also not included . If you feel that’s fair no reason to debate. Just let the company do as they please.

They have enough work for every driver to get 8 hours. Cutting routes and then sending those remaining out with 10-12 hour dispatches isn't overstaffing.
