Buyout

Is this any different than the part timers getting a bonus for showing up every day during Peak?
I don't recall the union grieving that..

Yep, my local grieved it and we lost. Those bonuses did not affect their employment nor the ability for the union to represent them.

Obviously, with the way, the buyout was previously being given. You were signing away your employment, and the union had no involvement pretty big difference.

Glad the company finally came to their senses and negotiated

It’s written kind of squirrelly but believe it or not not everyone in the central gets that 1k extra. Lots of people have been disappointed, thinking they were going to and they didn’t qualify for one reason or another.

Ask @bigunionguy

Yep, it happens every year and every year we have a pile of grievances.

Why are they always in flip flops?

Even worse.

You take that back.

DIDO will not stand for someone being worse than him.

Lmao

File. Lots of feeder driver get paid for this every year. Sucks it happens, but you can’t stop putting pen to paper.

He said the Union knows and does nothing that's why I asked. If they are allowing it will they honor your grievance?

I cannot speak on what happens to these nationally because I’m not super involved in Feeder grievances. But locally I do know they are filed on and settlements are made.

They are here too. I was just wondering why where @ovah is they don't seem to care. I thought Mass was a pretty hardcore union state. My last 6 months at UPS I was a shifter for our preload, they had me writing down trailer numbers and company names of the Gypsies pulling loads into our yard.

Yes, I made a lot of grievance money several years ago doing just that. Literally, thousands.

But now, ICs are allowed on our property (not too far, and a shifter has to bring them their trailer). I filed a couple months ago, cuz I caught one getting his own trailer deep onto the property, but that was denied.

I thought it was nationwide that they were allowed...

The buyout was nothing but a ploy to create division between the Teamsters and foster antiunion sentiment and I think it's working beautifully. If you look at the comments on social media, most hamsters are too stupid to realize they were being played by the company. The company had absolutely no intention whatsoever of paying $150,000 to 30,000 people but of course these Meesters can't see that.

They definitely want to bust the union

Cleaned stuff up just a little.

Let's keep it on topic in this one, and not be antagonistic

The charm restrictions feature absolutely does work. Just saying.
