I know you’re right it’s obvious what they’re doing, but he was definitely undeniably implicated with Epstein and still needs to face repercussions, even if it is a political hit job.

Both political sides have big hitters who would probably be implicated if everything came out. It's in their interest for this to just go away outside of specifically targeting the Clintons, etc.
