What specifically about these platforms do you find alarming?
They never figure out how to pay for all the free stuff they promise to buy votes. Tax the rich too much, they move somewhere else. Then the disappearing middle class gets stuck with the bill. Seen it too many times. I can't think of any time or place where socialism worked. In the early days of Stalin's Soviet Union and Mao's China, hundreds of millions died from starvation. They had to change to capitalism to get away from that. I got back from Amsterdam a few weeks ago, pretty liberal place. A 500 square foot apartment costs $500K and most people have to ride bicycles to get around because cars and gas are so expensive. Nice place to visit, no way I would want to live there.
