As a long time outsider ---WHAT would UPS full time employees strike for? They make 50 bucks an hour now, have control over overtime like never before --(8 hour requests-9 1/2 hour lists). probably the best benefit package in the industry------------I don't understand this strike talk. Don't get mw wrong--I haven't gone to the dark side. It just seems like the slaves have it much easier than we did back in the dark ages.
From the outside, looking in it would seem that we have those things, but we absolutely do not. Hours are completely out of control. I only worked four days this week and worked 52 hours. They don’t care about paying 9.5.. seems like a good thing until you realize people are losing their minds, losing their health and losing their families do extreme excessive hours. This is only because the company refuses to hire. Couple that was a fact the company is now ignoring the contractor agreements and the level of a harassment has gotten pretty extreme and you have a work group that is exhausted frustrated and ready fight this company.
