My last route that I worked for 23 years was in Jonesboro. GA. That's where Tara was based on the book. Several times Japanese tourists would come up to me wanting to know where Tara was. The old railroad station was a Gone With the wind museum and there was a Stately Oakes plantation house where the historical society was. My delivery area had several places l places with trenches from the Battle of Jonesboro. I found a horseshoe sticking up in somebody's yard I kept.
