UPS isn’t playing chess they’re just doing whatever they want. That’s a problem in and of itself. They decided it was better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. Of course everyone that signed those could be on the hook to pay them back if they’re found to be noncontractual or illegal. Thanks to the way UPS ordered the language on the agreement that people signed.
