Geez, I said in my post I realize they were eligible.What I DON'T like is this:On the one hand, you tell someone like @gumby , "Sorry Mr Gumby, you don't get the buyout because it goes by the needs of the company".But on the other hand the company NEEDS to get rid of union leaders? That's dumb.... They should have opted out, and left those slots for men wearing brown every day.
OK, but maybe we all should’ve stood in solidarity until every employee ups that’s full-time was offered this buyout
People like @turdferguson with many decades of seniority wasn’t offered this buyout because apparently he’s just not worthy of it according to the company.

I believe one of the main reasons this buyout was given was to cause division in the ranks. The company can win if they can get us to not have solidarity with one another.
Seems they’ve accomplished that.
