California is attempting to pass a bill called sb771 and I’m not seeing a lot of people talking about it
from what I understand large social media companies would face big fines for “hate speech”
it’s a very slippery slope and would cause censorship, even more than “intended” as companies would rather play it safe rather than pay the fines
its important to spread why this is bad, especially as both sides of political aisle are talking more and more about hate speech now, this is not one of the bipartisan compromises we should be getting
