Automotive once tried to can me for damage to a freshly painted airvan. It was my practice that when I finished using a PC for the day, I would write down the ending mileage on the Vehicle Report booklet. The mileage on the vehicle was up 104 miles. Turned out some Twlight sups had some missed WORC packages ( after the feeder left for the night ) and decided to run them out to WORC themselves. When they got there, the passenger opened the door right into a yellow cement filled bollard creating the damage.
We just always blamed the car washers for little scratches and dings. For some reason damage done by a car washer wasn't a big deal.

I did my 3 days of classes in Watertown. All Clarksville stuff. The only driving was in a p600 that had plexiglass windows on the sides and seats in the back. One by one we had to show we could drive a stick. Up a hill, down, all easy since I’d been driving stick in trucks for years. No cones. Lol
I remember that truck, never drove it, but I did wash it.
I went on interview in watma 5 guys showed up , me & 1 other guy could drive a stick , other 3 sent home , the next day they sent me to Brockton for 3 day sheet writing and training , things have changed quite a bit since 1989
I had the same experience to become an air driver.
That was after I had already a couple of years of training to go full time.
That was a ploy the p/ts did every winter.
Use winter vaca from college to go driving, make some bucks, quit before 30 were up, and return to p/t.
