@21savage is a pretty good example. He had a rough start on the caféand then he found his groove and fit in. So it can be done and discounting. The older generation is losing a lot of good information and knowledge. Even if they do stink, like dirty diapers, and BenGay.

What good info and knowledge am I missing from these idiots today? I’ll wait.

It is not nearly that simple.

The problem ends up being a lack of mutual respect that allows connections to be fostered.

That is not just a problem on the side of the young people.

I had quite a lot of lego growing up.

Harry potter sets and Star wars sets are good ideas. I didn't know the ROI was that high, but it doesn't surprise me.

The older sets had larger pieces and better sets. The new stuff cranked up the "piece count" but they're all tiny pieces.

I have london tower bridge, london double decker bus, apollo Saturn V rocket, Porsche 911 gt3 rs, Bugatti chiron, Lamborghini sian, bmw r 1200 gs, volkswagen camper van. The technics are my favorite, they weren't making cars with working gearboxes and motors back in the day. Haven't bought a new set in a very long time. The Volvo excavator they have right now looks pretty sick, I'm tempted. Smaller pieces doesn't bother me, takes longer to put together with my fat fingers, better entertainment value for the money.

Where are all the young people who are insulted? Have fun.

Ever played with their Mindstorms stuff? Robotics and such.

I had the NXT set, and eventually an older RCX kit. Great way to introduce the kid to computer science in a few years.

When I was a kid, those things were super cheap. They have a store just for Legos. I walked in there a few times and realized these are adult toys or very rich kids.

They are prohibitively expensive, especially for sets that are actually cool

Dude, some of the "cheap" sets in the stores have like 50 pieces now. My kingdom for better 3D printers.

Nope, the rc kit looks pretty cool tho. I am actually in the market for something similar to turn a power wheels into an rc car

I do think most of the small botanical and architecture series sets you see in target and such are pretty neat. The cities and classics and whatever else is marketed to kids that small do normally have a couple minifigs which are valuable but for a kid you are better off buying secondhand assorted bulk that someone has already picked the valuable stuff out of at $7/lb or whatever the going rate is, they won't know the difference.

Y'all f with legos or nah? Did you know the average rate of return on an unopened discontinued Lego set is 11% a year?

Lego's? Bitch I'm sitting on a gold mine of Beanie Babies.

He asked me if I liked metal music while he was doing an observation on me, then proceeded to performatively do air guitar for me to see every time I walked from the door back to the truck.

He got hit riding his E-bike to work... Three times.

He didn't own a car.

He tore the mirror off a u haul at peak with the tail swing of a package car... Twice.

He wore his bike helmet with the buckle buckled into the building until he sat down in his desk chair every day.

I told him I couldn't safely make a left turn because there was a billboard in the way, I had to make a right and then make a u-turn. He said there isn't a billboard there. I had to explain to him at UPS a billboard is anything that blocks your view, like that tree. He still didn't get it.

He got served a labor charge and turned beet red. I have never seen a black guy turn red before.

He went to a leasing office and told them they need to buy an Amazon locker because it takes too long to deliver the complex. He was rude when they said no. They called and complained.

After he was demoted to on road supervisor again, he asked me if I thought his center manager was bi. I told him I don't know anything about his sexual preferences. He said oh, I meant bipolar.

He wore a jacket and beanie every day during the summer.

He bought a home in canada... While working in California... And transferred to Virginia to have a shorter commute home?

He asked me where I work... While I was in the UPS building... In my browns. I said UPS. He said oh.

He saw me drinking an arizona iced tea and said "wow, you are drinking an arizona iced tea, that reminds me of my home in California. In my garage I had many cases of every flavor of Arizona, and my neighbors would come over and say 'hey, can I have an Arizona?' they wouldn't say 'hey, what day is your birthday? Oh wow, I have the same birthday! That's so cool, are you younger or older than I?' instead they would just come over and say 'can I have an arizona?' and so that is why seeing you drinking an arizona reminds me of my home, California."

Yep, he was a weird guy. was happy to see him leave. apparently the only way he was going to become a center manager was if he took that position lol.

He was in some ways a useful idiot and he had a much more cheerful disposition than your average supervisor, i actually wasn't that bothered by him. But he was definitely weird. And clueless.

Makes sense why him and Savage were best friends
