@unionstrong bought his wife, a new vacuum cleaner and a mop for Valentine’s Day.

A true romantic!

Because I'm an alcoholic. Every relationship I've ever been in has ended because of my alcoholism.

That’s no excuse.

A lot of how things work in the real world aren't really spelled out in the contract.

Past practice.

You wouldn't believe this new group of drivers. They don't care about anything .

That the company pretends doesn’t exist when it benefits them.

Selective amnesia in management is real! 😂

ha…then get divorced down the road?

Animals get divorced

And a salami

The funniest thing is most of them believe they signed on to a 9 to 5 job. I’ve got bad news.

Few of them plan on hanging around long enough to retire. They do care but only about themselves.

Clueless new drivers will believe any BS management tells them.

I would agree with that, although watching some of my brothers who decided to go into sleeper teams have wives who decided to be sleeping with someone else when they’re on the road makes me think a little bit otherwise.

We talk about UPS all day, we live it. We drink it. We breathe it. Not necessarily because we want to, but because of we’re stuck in the seat of that truck. It’s a great living, not complaining. And I don’t mind talking about it sometimes in a serious manner. Sometimes we need to to decompress a little.

When I come here, I’d rather get a chuckle and bust some balls with a bunch of UPS employees and retired UPS employees who understand what the job entails and how that affects your outlook on life.

Reddit is a good example of too much serious talk about UPS. It’s mostly unhelpful information, many times wrong information and people with agendas arguing about things they have very little idea about.

We’re all twisted fucks.

We’re all twisted fucks.

My wife says working UPS has made me less empathetic.

What the fuck does she know?

@21savage ?

Divorce rate is very high. Probably not as much infidelity as spouses who can't really cope with how much much time is taken up by work.

Then you handle it another way…

That's been what I've seen.

Very few of the UPS wives that I've met seem to understand what the job even is.

Few of them plan on hanging around long enough to retire. They do care but only about themselves.

And that's why the company is offering the buyout.
They are banking on not having the legacy cost of retirees in the future.

That’s because we work with other twisted fucks, surrounded by lying scum management. It’s easy to get jaded and cynical in that environment.

You definitely have to have the right spouse for this job.

What I thought was frustrating was finding out there had been prior grievances settled or

"interpretations" of the contract ruled on by various panels. That did work to my advantage before.
