Thanks man. It wasn't that terrible, by the time we realized what was happening and got to the ER we were almost out of the window for anaphylaxis anyways. Quickest ER visit ever. In and out in 30 mins including registration. Honestly best way it could have happened - at home with both of us there and close to the hospital. At daycare or while the grandparents were watching her or something would've been bad. Now we know.
Daycare?
Probably because those kids died. Infant mortality rate was 5x higher back then and I'm sure epi pens weren't invented yet

I was lucky, my wife worked for her family business, so she took 2 years off, gradually went back, and I had my mother and other relatives that could babysit. We had one young girl who’s family was good friends with my in laws, she was really great with my son. I think that’s why he became such a cunt hound.
