Are there any edge cases where it wouldn't satisfy weingarten? Hypothetically if the steward was produced over a company phone line which is recorded so the steward and member aren't able to privately caucus?
Not that I know of and in any of those cases, I would simply tell the grievant to stay silent until I could call him or her privately or meet with them privately.
Most of the time discipline or even terminations are going to happen regardless of what happens in that office and a grievance have to be filed.
They have waited for me to return to the building to do discipline on serious matters.
