I love the short people who have to bring a load stand on road with them to reach the 7000 shelf, I wonder if they get extra time allowance for that
There's a girl in your center (I'm sure you know who it is) I'm almost 100 % certain she's the tiniest driver in the building and one of the oldest too. She's a sweetheart tho. But sometimes I truly wonder how she reaches the top shelf even with a load stand lol

I remember the old days when someone from i.e. Would ride with you with their little notebook and tablet and count your steps.

You mean pretend to count your steps. If the numbers end up too much in your favor they would get adjusted.
Also you got no credit for walking through your truck. During a time study always get out and walk around.

I know. I saw her the other day in the parking lot. Think we got hired on the same day so I've known her my whole career. She's really a good person. Don't know the exact details of that accident but I'm glad she got her job back.

I have no idea why they could not figure out the bonus system was a scam. They really believe they were going to gain time back with a time study.
We still have the bonus system, but it’s an absolute joke and there’s almost no way to actually get it without cutting corners and breaking rules and isn’t even then it’s not much. It’s a fools errand.

Within months of bonus going in everyones allowances magically got cut even without a time study. Some people were actually shocked it happened. We eventually voted out bonus. It was a scam and encouraged bad habits by drivers trying to cut corners. Not to mention the rampant selfishness of those trying to get bonus. Not like when I started and most drivers were very willing to help each other. Of course that was back on the days most people went out with about a 9 hour day.

This last time I had one of those done I had a corporate IE guy ride with me. This is the guy who gave CEO Mike Eskew the daily operations report. He had a little tablet he would punch everything in. He would just walk the first house in a subdivision and count the rest the same. He forgot to charge his backup batteries and the tablet died when we got back to the building. During lunch, he told me he had a Masters degree and made $45K. I was making $90K at the time. He gave me a decent time allowance though, I usually did run scratch to .30 over every day.

Other than your annual safety ride, I only had one supe go out with me for the day. I thought it was to bust my ass or something.... so I sang
“We are the World” for like 9.5 hrs. Turns out, he just wanted to try and meet this babe that worked at the hair solon I delivered to.
Her brother was a driver in another building and heard she was super hot. She looked like Haley Berry. Still remember her name.
