The last time I bought an appliance there (a dryer) I would have taken one home if they had any in back. They didn't but the sales guy gave me free delivery the next day.

They would have charged me a few dollars to haul the old one away but I just put it out with the trash the next week and sure enough a scrounger grabbed it.

Me and a friend were driving around drunk one night, we saw a big color tv out for pickup, this was 45 years ago, so it was one with the wood around it, heavy. We dropped it off on the back porch of another unsuspecting friend who found it the next morning. Eventually, we all found it in our yards. I woke one morning to my aunt asking my mother why there was a TV in the backyard. πŸ˜‚

The amount of effort some people put in to avoid working is insane.

Had the guy knock on my door today and asked if it was ok for him to cut the Palmetto berries from the Palmetto plants in my front yard. At least they asked.

TF they doing with them? Asking for a friend.

My parents had the one with the tv, hi-fi and record player. Thing was like 8 feet wide.

Home entertainment set. We had a black and white one then upgraded in the 1970's to a color one.

Rich folk had those. To big to steal.

They make some kind of snake oil with them I guess. Supposed to be good for your prostate or something.

All furniture was too heavy to steal then.
