Vega was probably a better car. Except for the engine.
My first car. It was my big brother's first, he overheated the engine and warped the head so he just gave it to me. I put a smallblock 350 in it and a narrowed 12-bolt rear end under it when i was 17. It was fun to drive as long as you went straight. The last time I saw it the unibody had warped and the guy had the driver's door tied shut with a rope. That guy sold it to some kid who ripped the whole rear end out of it in a few days.

I had a friend with a Vega. After the engine blew he got a Chevette. Poor college student days.
