My Center management didn't put up with people who didn't come to work. If they weren't under some kind of FLMA or something, they built a case for job abandement or whatever else they could pin on them. I hate to see anybody lose their job, but a business needs to have reliable employees.

100% but here management is very bad keeping good records. That’s the Union’s job is too make sure those T were crossed and i dotted.

I've seen several get fired for frequent absences and get their job back after agreeing to go into a help program for alcohol or substance abuse. I had this one guy that worked next to me. He told me he would kill a twelve-pack on the way home every night, sometimes I could still smell it on him the next morning when he threw his morning temper tantrems. One day he had a rollaway in a McDonald's parking lot, the package car rolled out into a highway and hit a pregnant woman driving her car. I couldn't believe he got his job back.
