When I sent mine in I couldn't do it more than 90 days in advance. Then they just sat on the paperwork until the last 30 days. Their attitude was you could straighten out any problems after you retire.
They waited till the last 2 weeks, then deposited 2 months in my account. Slow AF. I called them when it was getting tight, I actually spoke to Sean’s wife who works there. She was very nice, and straightened it out for me. She said they were swamped with applications.
