Yes, but the lawsuit was *****v.UPS

Essentially the same thing. Just money from a different pocket.

Satan’s insurance company

When is the last time you saw a successful lawsuit against either UPS OR the union by an employee?

There are numerous reasons for that.

I would tell you, however the confidentiality agreement as part of the settlement forbids discussion.

He said cuz his credit is so fucked. Then he said "go big or go home" and "don't be a hater"

Tell him to get gap insurance before it's too late then drive it off a cliff holy hell

Work comp is a very different animal. Not to mention that generally speaking, the employee is never on the hook to pay their lawyer upfront so there’s nothing for them to lose. We win just about every work comp case there is if the lawyer fights it.

Also, anyone that gets injured and does not use a work comp Lawyer is doing their self a huge disservice. UPS is using numerous lawyers and a very corrupt insurance company toward against you and your interests.

I’m very familiar with the workers comp system. Liberty Mutual will always try to dissuade you from getting a lawyer.

I really only been injured once but it sure was fun to tell them I had legal representation when they called me and they hung up as quick as they could lol.

“Well, if you get a lawyer I can’t talk to you anymore” Well I’m all broke up about that, bitch.

Every grievance that an employee that has filed and retired at my local has been heard and settled. retirement does not mean your grievance is no longer valid.

If your credit is poor would a finance company not require gap insurance? Talk about risk!

Outside of work comp, almost never.

Rob Atkinson who’s now at the international sued the company when they fired him eventually won his lawsuit but it took a very long time. I can’t even remember how long almost 10 years I believe.

Outside of w/c never? What about personal injury?

No clue. My credit score is over 800. Every time I've bought a car I've paid it off before the first payment is due. I don't like debt.

Usually, if you’re involved in a work comp case, you can’t sue them as well for personal injury. That’s probably state specific though. If you’re talking about people who aren’t UPS employees I don’t know. I’ve never heard of any probably happened. If they were involved in an accident with a UPS vehicle.

Watching Breaking Bad reruns right now.

I know my point was not only do they get sued for w/c but also personal injury. So they do get sued....a lot too I imagine.

Stall as long as possible before they finally settle out of court

My guy just came back from comp. There was an incident with a dog. He wanted to sue the home owners/dog owners but his lawyer told him any money he got from a lawsuit he would have to pay back to the state workers comp board.
