Spike the ball is what he should have done. If he fell down the clock would have run out. I don't think they had any idea they were out of timeouts which is inexcusable.

Yeah he should have spiked the ball but would have still had enough time to do it if he hadn't wasted seconds running around like an idiot.

Right and that's on both the qb and the head coach imo. Not even the announcers calling the game noticed what had happened, meanwhile I'm sitting there screaming at the tv yelling for them to hurry tf up.
