It would be a good way to move the earnings until next year
If you bought a note thwt matured after the beginning of the year you wouldn't owe taxes on your 2026 return.
Then Ill transfer it to the brokerage...

I pretty much do the same thing
I hardly drive anymore
My car spends way more time in the garage than on the road. And when I do drive it is usually fairly short trips.

I put in 20 miles a week instead of 20 moles a day
I probably haven't put in a $100 worth of gas since I retired.
