Most distros are a lot more stable than they used to be but less compatibility between versions. Now you don't even need to know any basic code to set up and use them.It has been a long time when I used something like sudo

Every time I’ve bought a new vehicle (including my Union cars).... I would find what I want and go to that dealer. Locally.
If they are open till 8:00pm, I would go in at 7:00pm and start the process. Keep them there for an extra hour and then walk.
Do that 2 or 3 times to “soften” them up and they get tired of seeing you. Play the game and wear them down.
I understand they are trying to make a living. But, so are lawyers....
They make money even if they sell it at invoice with dealer holdback.
