Cars really last if you take care of them. Change the fluids/oil as recommended. Don't ignore trans fluid, brake, power steering, and coolant. This costs a whole lot less than a new vehicle.

But you do get to a point when a vehicle gets too old. Mine is 14 years old. As long as it doesn't need anything major I will keep it.
