Even my youngest asked about the treasury direct and the cash plus. She is tired of the low rates banks are offering on CDs and wants to make a a treasury ladder. She is also pissed off at the Discover high yield savings account. She said sometimes the screen would show temporarily unavailable.

They did come out with a new high yield savings account about a year ago.

The vanguard cash plus is paying about 3.5% now. Not the greatest return but still a good place to stash ready cash. Still a hell of a lot better than letting it rot in a bank where you probably get more like 0.01%
