Well, if you get that far and do it right, you’ll never give them the opportunity to go very far back in your past.
If the first thing you do is go into a panel and say I’ve been a great employee or a good employee. You’ve opened the door for them to throw everything at you and they probably have more “bad stuff” than you have good stuff.
Always best to just keep it to the issue at hand and listen to your business agent.
One of the Labor guys I dealt with for several years, used to say he was going to write a book about all the crazy cases we've seen.
Problem was.... nobody would believe it. Saw a case from another Local almost exactly like yours. In front of the panel, this guy said
the same thing and had all his safe driving awards, years of service plaques... etc. Well, the panel wacked him and he stormed out
of the room and left all his stuff behind. Everybody just sat there for a minute until his BA picked up all the stuff and walked over and
threw it in the trash. They called the next case. It was hilarious.
Ill be honest. I could really use a good disciplining.
