Yeah I feel that. I miss Dad's mom and his dad. They were cool as fuck. I could curse around and basically say whatever I want. I love my mom's parents too but they're military and I definitely have to have a filter on around them.
These ladies were amazing …they all lost their husbands kinda young …but prevailed well and enjoyed doing everything in life ….annnnd damn they could cook ! lol

Mine was the opposite lol. My grandma can't cook for shit. She makes the sterotype that "white people don't season their food" true.
Every time I go there I gotta be like ahh this is good.

But really I fucking hate that shit.

I'm not black but if I make some food I guarantee that shit is gonna have seasoning on it. Like look at Gumbys food. His shit don't have no seasoning on it. Those chicken wings he made the other night looked like they still had some life in em.

Mine was the opposite of that. She worked for the Dodge family in New York as a cook. Yes.... Dodge. She lived in New York half the year
and then lived with us the other half. My Dad would go pick her up at the airport, and the first thing she would do is walk in the door and put
on an apron and start cooking. The Dodge family had a lot of dinner parties. Two frequent famous guests were Henry Fonda and Ernest Borgnine.
(actors) My grandma had a little table set up in the kitchen and they would go there and hang out with her to avoid other guests and eat.
