They quit making VHS only players a long time ago. I think all you can get are the DVD/VHS combo players.
But didn't they quit making VHS tapes several years ago?

the HDMI output is nice but more of a convenience. Image quality won't be any better than using the older RCA analog jacks.
I still have a DVD/VHS player but its in a closet since I haven't used it for many years. It is also a Magnavox.
