I have never qualified for an HSA and I don’t believe most of us here working or not will either. The High deductible/ out of pocket expenses Health Plan requirement kills it for most of us it seemed.It’s been a year or so since I have checked so maybe I will put this in the to/do homework pile.

I don’t think your employer needs to provide the plan, you can do it on your own even if retired.
