What article should I file it under?

Give me about 20 minutes

Best I can find is article 12 and any others that apply

Seems if I can’t sign in unless I use my own personal device, they are altering my information using another technology.

"...so as to diminish an employee's compensable time..."

Not only is it in the same paragraph it's in the same sentence. IMO argument using that language is going nowhere unless you can show how doing 2FA is diminishing your compensable time.

Do you have a maintenance of standards clause in your supp? Is not being required to use my phone at the time our contract was ratified considered a 'general working condition'?

We have the exact same. And yes, I would also include that article from your supplement.

Do the newer drivers even know how to use paper?

To wipe their butts....

Well, according to my division manager, you shouldn’t have to use your phone anymore. We shall see.

Darn. That was short lived. I love chaos in the workplace.

Seems like a update to the diad software was pushed through over the weekend. A quirk of the new update is that whenever your diad loses service while it is in the cradle on the mapnav screen it gets stuck that way and you have to reboot to get it to do anything. That in itself is pretty annoying but the icing on the cake is now when you reboot the diad you have to do 2 factor authentication to get logged back in. It's the same 2FA process as logging in to UPSers, they text a code to your cellphone. This is problematic in many regards. What if I forget my cellphone at home? What if my phone died on route? What if I am on a rural route with no cell service? When one of these things happens I won't be able to log in to the delivery app without the code from my phone so I will have no way to send a message to the center telling them what's going on. I guess at that point I will be driving back to the center to ask them what they want me to do..

Any of y'all also having this happen to you this week? Would love to hear horror stories of problems this has caused if y'all have any yet.

Is everyone just using their personal cellphones to reboot? Is the company giving all that do, a reimbursement check every month to offset the bill?
