I’ve done very well with my 401(k) and Roth 401(k) approaching seven digits.

Hey long lost uncle blob, long time no see

because empower sucks

Winner!

They should be brought up on charges

Nothing was ever said about the debacle last year, and probably most people do not notice it

Day 2 after retirement my money is outta there.
There is no reason to keep your money in there. Unless you want to do the rules of fifty five

My wife kind of stays out of that side of the money...she knows the percentage but never accessess the account. I shared the amount with her a few weeks back and she was very pleased. Good feeling.

She is probably nowhere is pleased

Only slightly bragging
When I showed my wife, that I had opened the rafa area for her a decade ago, and that's her money
That i put in for her.
She was gonna stay at her mom for many years, and I wanted to let her know that that did not go. Unnoticed, let's because she was not making a paycheck

Ok thanks for explaining that, appreciate the breakdown. Best funds to invest? Thoughts?

It all depends on your age. More aggressive when you are young, less aggressive when you get older. As of now I have 5% in the Stable Value and 5% in the 50-50 Balanced Unitized Acc. 90% is in the Self Managed Account that I do on my own. Vanguard funds, ETFs, and individual stocks.

You don't need an advisor
Nor can advisor help you out with you 401k
You just need the knowledge

I’ll check it out, thanks appreciate it!

There's something the same haircut as greg

I roll my 5% After Tax in to my Vanguard Roth IRA about twice a year. You have to pay small amount of taxes on the gains and a $10 fee but it lets me put in an additional $7ish K in my Roth IRA every year.

Is dave in here already, with all this financial advice?

He's here somewhere

Do you max out your ROTH 401k?

Do you max out your ROTH 401k?

I’m weirdly addicted to savings. Max out Roth 401k, max out Roth IRA, 5% After Tax all year to mega backdoor rollover, and $100 a week to brokerage account.
