Vacations owed retire/ buy out

That could cost you almost $10K or more though.

Retire on the 31st. Pension check comes on the 1st and then you also get paid off for 7 weeks of vacation.
If you take your 7 weeks of vacation, you won't get a pension check for 2 months.

I think the gamble is worth it because they legally have to pay you off. It might just take some time and effort on your part.

Looks like @mechanicinblue got it done.

What Pension check, I got no Pension ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Oh well, then why are you wasting your time?

I'm waiting on you to take a buyout, then maybe this place has a chance, your paycheck is too fat :)

Gonna be waiting a while.

I retired mid-October with one un-used vacation week left. It was on my last regular check and I got all three of my first pension checks on November 1. I was owed six weeks vacation pay for the next year and it took them a couple of months to find that. It turned out somebody stuck the live check in a drawer somewhere with a stack of other checks. You don't get paid for the Option Days for the following year.

Gonna be waiting a while.

It's alright, time flies by fast when I'm loading those freakin' trailers, just don't wanna fuck up my back while doing this shit :(

Not likely. I’m betting they bleed him till he quits.

I don’t get it some of you all’s managers must be complete dickheads. My last 6 months of work was shifting and the manager I had knew me but owed me nothing and had my next years vacation pay to me in less than two weeks after my leaving.

And what company is going to take over their volume? FedEx,USPS?

Doesn't mean they can handle UPS volume if they fold up as you claim. What were you doing in 1997?
