340k UPS teamsters but 490k total employees means for every 3 people whose job it is to actually move boxes there is one member of management that does ??????? I mean one ors supervises 30 drivers, where are the other 9 members of management and what are they doing? Nothing that matters. Middle management is where cuts need to be made and the guy that posted that to reddit is either a middle manager who sees the writing on the wall for himself or just totally full of crap.Also we already have a list of the"worst performing" drivers in every center it's called the operations report and nobody cares about it.

Imagine if I had to hire a driver's Ed instructor to come teach me how to drive the package car good. UPS is supposed to be the industry leader if they need to have someone else come tell them how to make money delivering a box something is not right. Maybe we are actually screwed.

Center manager doesn't have any say over how the center is run it really doesn't matter if they are competent or not. Stops per car and stuff like that is totally out of their control. Sometimes they get to decide how much discipline is given out.
The executive board has no excuse tho. For real if I had to hire a driving coach to come teach me how to efficiently operate a package car everyone agree I'm not cut out to be a UPS driver. If the people running a logistics company need to hire a consulting firm to come teach them how to make money delivering packages you would think the shareholders would all agree they aren't cut out to run UPS.

Center managers should be axed before anyone else. Even if UPS wasn’t “in trouble” because they serve no consistent value. If a center has three on cars one of them could be designated center manager. So simple.

Can't argue with that one bit honestly you should figure out a way to get that one to Carol. If all the on cars are on car then there will be nobody to get yelled at on the conference call but who cares.
