You gotta give your wife up

Yup, approved.

Good for you buddy!

Who gets chosen depends where your building is.
And what changes it can survive.

Maybe people thought it was going to be 7500 of the top senior people company wide. Apparently that wasn't how it worked.

Seems much more than 7500 were going for the buyout. Very different than what the FB union pages were saying. "Nobody was going for it" they said, lol.

Yup, approved.

For now

Stringing people along.

Is there provision still there that the company can take the money back, or did the union fix that?
Just got to work, no time to read.

The only reason I can think of you would’ve needed to worry about that is it the Union grievance was found viable or the NLRB sued the company for violating labor law for direct dealing. Now that the company has negotiated with the union and they got their blessing that will not happen.

That was never how it would’ve been couldn’t possibly have worked that way. It was supposed to go by seniority in locals.

Ohhhhh boy, wait til @542thrunthru finds out you used tdu as a source

Ohhhhh boy, wait til @542thrunthru finds out you used tdu as a source

SOB is TDU

Try to stay on topic

Ohhhhh boy, wait til @542thrunthru finds out you used tdu as a source

If that was in fact, part of the agreement, that is a huge win.

If that was in fact, part of the agreement, that is a huge win.

If there is no enforcement mechanism how is it any different than when the company originally committed to creating the jobs?

He's retired and isn't all there like he used to be. I'll give him a pass.

TDU only wrote that article to help out Sean in the election. They know lots of people are upset because they think that Sean limited UPS to 7,500 offers instead of 10k or even 30k( lots of feeder drivers are mad). TDU can't afford to have Fearless win the election so they are protecting their investment and bottom line (as always). I haven't read the article but I'm sure it explains that UPS actually added more people to the buyout because the IBT told them this is the last one till negotiations. Then I'm sure it explains that they had to also agree that they would still add all the jobs that were negotiated.

am I close?

It said we’re going to buckle our chin straps. It’s a full contact sport.

And Sean his handsome.

I’m not certain any of us can afford to have fearless win. Like Sean or not. There isn’t a strong alternative.

Talking to my BA. no feeder driver in my area got the buyout and around 80 RPCDs did.

If they got UPS to agree that they can give these jobs at this point that would be a huge win because the company is admitting they can afford to do it. Last I heard they were hemming and hawing saying there wasn’t enough volume.

They tried something similar in 1997 by the year 2000 they had been sued by the Teamsters and we won those jobs

I agree. Fearless slate is weak. Anyone here seen this new Teamsters Mobilize group? Something tells me @1030 will be switching groups soon. :)
