Why? You filed your paperwork right? It should have given you your first payment date. You obviously didn't work any days into Oct.

I retired June 30th got my first check July 1st. I dint know if they do it different where you are at but the first check was live.

My last disability check came on Sept. 30th ( 2015 ) and my first pension check ( Oct 1st, 2015 ) was direct deposit into my account.
No gaps.
Plus since I was under 62, the Union gave me an extra $1K a month to help offset my medical bills. For 18 months.
