When I got my withdrawal card at the union hall, the nice woman working there mentioned the "teamsters for life " remark.
Everyone taking the buy out should get a withdrawal card.
One never knows what the future will bring.
I only got withdrawal card if I went out on comp. Why bother now it's my understanding where I'm at once you retire the only stipulation to having a job while collecting your pension is that you can't work for a unionized company.
When it comes to production, that's what they get you on, stealing time. Technically you are correct, nothing about production can get you fired, but most that do get fired are misbehaving, drawing attention to themselves.
Hats off to the shop stewards dealing with the sealing time guys.

If someone is genuinely stealing time, I have zero pity for them. More times than not what management consider “stealing time” doesn’t live up to their claim. Never seen a Teamster fired for production numbers. They’ve even tried to do what they call a “three day lock in ride” and they never stick.
Production numbers, and stealing time or not even remotely the same thing.
And firing someone due to attendance is a very rare occurrence. Those people would be habitual offenders to the extreme.
Like calling out 50 times!
How many of these guys have you seen fired over the years, they run over, way over, numbers completely change when a OJS goes down. Numbers way over after lkke before. Then they get caught extending lunch or something else stupid.

You really are a miserable little shit, I’m assuming you were in management, probably still are. I’m sure you’ve been demoted down to a driver supervisor.

Yes, extending their lunch is stealing time like I said totally different and I have no pity for them. Couldn’t care less with the OJS ride shows as long as the teamster is doing the best he can daily.
How many times have you seen management massage a Load They’re going out with?
How many times have you seen managementTry to help an hourly to get done while on route?
We can play that game all day both ways.
If management lets someone get so far as to call in 50 times before they start discipline, that’s their problem

Have you ever asked yourself why you're looking at other peoples' performance numbers?
I couldn't have told you what anyone else in my loop did for production. Mostly because it was absolutely none of my business.
