Couldn’t agree more, I tell everybody do not work for UPS, prisoners probably get treated with more respect. Unfortunately I’m the bread maker and rely on that check . If things don’t work out, I’ll be getting my cdl , and hopefully I can find something close and pay, but I know it’s gonna be significantly less

Not sure you do but don’t buy new vehicles or over size house. You can live with way less easily and have an enjoyable job. I made those mistakes I just mentioned. I made more but actually had less

No way no how it would have went this far if they liked you. I had years I spent I wouldn’t even say hi to a sup in the building or talk about anything. Just talked to them if needed for work only. I just wait it out they would get removed or move on to another center. Some were very difficult to work with. I had fun making things difficult for them. I know some drivers that needed the push like this to leave and non regret it now.

Generally speaking A mercy case is when you know you’ve done something wrong and you’re asking for the company to overlook it. From what you’re telling me, you’re not asking for mercy you’re asking for justice. As you didn’t do any of the things they’re claiming.


I did swear on the phone with a customer in February . It was not an aggressive malicious act by any means . The person I was on the phone with didn’t even call it was just a higher up who heard the convo on a camera . So I was discharged in Feb … now I get a nut case with road rage , wanted to pass me when I was trying to pass a slower tractor trailer . And he was mad I held him up. He told all sorts of lies about what happened and ups ran with it. No proof . My BA is saying we will know Friday , but someone informed me that my name is crossed off the schedule .

so does ups get the decision before the union?

If you’ve already had your case at the panel They already know your decision. If you didn’t get the decision at that time 95% chance it’ claim of the union is denied.

your name being marked out the schedule doesn’t really mean anything. But not getting your decision handed to you the day of is not a good sign.


My BA and steward both said Friday for decision though . I know there was a full docket yesterday and more discharge cases

Again, if your case has already been heard, the decision is already known. If that previous incident was on your record and it went to an arbitrator, he’s not gonna know the details, especially if you didn’t file a grievance on it. They don’t leave the room until the case is decided. They will have you leave the room and when you come back, they will tell you they will send the decision. at a later date. there’s a lot of reasons they do that for certain cases other cases they give you the decision that day.
i’ve been to many panels where the grievance doesn’t know the decision but everyone else already does.

If your case was heard, they know the decision. Postponements happen all the time sometimes they’re mutual sometimes it’s the company sometimes it’s the Union. Hoping for the best for you, brother, but it doesn’t sound great.

How in the heck did you get walked out for that. My supervisor confronted me saying someone called in accusing me of flipping them off no less than twice in my short time as a driver. It never went anywhere because it’s their word against mine, no proof, and anyone who knew me knew I didn’t go around flipping people off in traffic.

Are you telling us everything? Because I don’t see how they can fire you over something with no proof. He said-she said things usual don’t go very far.

Oh I hear it’s like a 2019 type of bad . 65 hours in 5 days for most . But at this point I feel like they aren’t changing their mind . It’s up to panel I’m sure

Sounds like staffing . Didn’t hire and wanted pvd to pick up the slack , and they’re all quitting. We had a hub close in the summer about 40 min away. I don’t think it hurt us much. We got a few extra areas. My hubs in the process of being automated also

I use to hear our prior dispatch guy complain about the pvd thing Said could use 1 driver to Cover like 10’pvd easily


Panel sided with ups. . So I’ll be looking for a new career along with a lawyer . This isn’t over for them
