I'm sorry brother.

I know that's a horrible Christmas present to get, but it'll be OK.

We definitely want to hear how this ends up playing out for you, and regardless where you end up, you're always welcome here.

If there's anything we can do to help, let us know.

Time for him to move on

Why did the Union fail him

Why did the Union fail him

Without knowing the full details, I cannot be sure what really happened. It does sound like he had a history of these things. If he did not file appropriate grievances in a timely manner on those other things that may have stayed on his record. That’s why it’s important to file timely. A lot of guys ask. Why do I need to file on a warning letter? Well now you see why

Sadly the company can make anyone look bad over time with all the rules and methods Documenting stuff even if not true it’s hard to defend all that stuff when the time comes after they get a reason for discharge Esp like you said file on all wearing letters Not having your own stuff documented It looks to them as your the problem I feel for this guy but know in time he will be better off

I have letters for misloads from 2008, all sorts of old bs : nothing ever disappears. All my old discipline was resolved and my BA mentioned that . I was fired in 2023 for buying a drink at a gas station. In and out in 30 seconds and they fired me for stealing time and dishonestly and falsifying records . All my discipline was complete bs . So this panel case was even more bs . Discharged for something with no proof and they took it to panel . I’m beyond disappointment in teamsters ability to fight for us after this .

I’m also not concerned if they are here reading . , I’m not done yet , I’ve already contacted attorneys but waiting to hear back. They violated several articles of the contract including me signing code of conduct papers 6 or 7 times being half their argument . Those are extra agreements and aren’t allowed and my BA didn’t even mention this language . I also have an article 37 against my manager because he violated the contract with the discharge process . I was out of work for a full month before having the center level meeting . He used no progressive discipline when I was fired in February and again this time . I hope I find something that makes me happier . I doubt I’ll make as much and I’m mad because the last 13 years of my working life I would have had 6 weeks vaca a year .

I wish you good luck with the attorney, although it usually turns out poorly. Not to mention the time and money it takes.
FYI, never sign any documents unless they’re federally required.

The company has proven time and time again they can fire you without progressive discipline for violating their code of conduct.
Especially issues like sexual harassment or workplace violence.

And I hate to bring this up, but going to a convenient store and buying a drink on the clock actually is stealing time.

Stuff like buying the drink they let it slide with everyone until they have a target Like many other things

Exactly . It was 11 am , I still had air to do : I didn’t plan to waste ten min on a break . I did a delivery to a business that was 30 steps from the gas station door . So I made the delivery , walked in and got a drink , there was no line or anything . In and out . Came out to see my boss observing me , and he didn’t see me do anything wrong … so that’s the bs he used on me

That guy that got fired for asking all of his female coworkers to look at his cock got an attorney. And then he was complaining that the attorney took his money and didn't do anything for him.

If you need a good attorney why not find one locally? Get rid of the middle man and go straight to their office?

Did any of them say yes?

You know how women are

How many people have you seen lose at panel then get an attorney and get their job back? It feels like throwing good money at bad. Not saying you shouldn't try to fight it. But if it was me I'd go to welding school or something. UPS is a shit hole and it's getting worse.

It’s the rarest of rare it’s a giant waste of money 99.9% of the time it’s best to move on with your life.

I am looking for one local . Left a message for one yesterday. Haven’t heard back yet . If I don’t I’ll look into others. My cousin is a criminal defense lawyer, so not her expertise but she thinks I should at least look into it

Keep your money and find a new job. All your time at UPS will be wasted if you drain your savings on a losing case.
