Iran has previously taken control of the strait. That’s the problem, they have tried to hold it hostage before.
The objectives that were spelled out are something I agree with . The Iranian regime is a terrorist organization 100% and I believe the people are oppressed. Many of them are good people.
The issue so far is our strategy has not worked. Certainly, I don’t know everything but what I see currently is a failed plan. And a lot of finger pointing, which is never good.
"My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027."

I certainly hope you’re wrong too because I’m certain there’s a lot of citizens in Iran that don’t deserve to be nuked. Trump likes to say he has good instincts. But now twice during his presidency's he’s ignored his instincts and listen to the so-called experts. First with Covid now, Iran. The first one was a disaster. This one might also be.
The other issue is Trump likes to listen to only the people who will tell him what he wants to hear never question him and puff up his ego. If you can only have yes, men in your inner circle that’s a problem.

Man, this is getting hilarious. I might actually watch the WNBA.

I could see sending one or two into Pickaxe Mountain if our bunker busters could get through some of the granite first. Wouldn’t like it but could understand it.
Outside of that one specific thing, it’d absolutely be a green light for so many bad uses by China, Russia, North Korea, Pakistan, etc.
Problem is, the country is very mountainous and nearly 4x the size of Iraq. And unless you nuke a lot of it simultaneously, the IRGC will absolutely launch big time against regional oil and desalination infrastructure that we can’t defend.
I'd like to personally thank the Democrats for taking an absolutely lost cause and trying to make it competitive again.
Maybe the Republicans won't lose the Senate.
It’s unbelievable how pathetic. Our political system is.
Although it does make some sense because anyone with half a brain would not want to be part of this political system so we’re left with the absolute worst people possible trying to run the country.
If AOC is the future of the Democrat party, they’re in real trouble
"A top Iranian national security official delivered a sweeping set of demands on Saturday that he said the United States must meet before the Strait of Hormuz can reopen to maritime traffic, throwing the fate of the critical trade waterway into question.
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, the secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, issued a statement carried by state media laying out multiple requirements for reopening the strait. He called for the United States to lift its naval blockade and sanctions on Iran, withdraw the U.S. military from around Iran, pay war reparations and release frozen Iranian assets, as well as end attacks on Iran’s allies in the region and threats against the country."
-----------
"Mr. Zolghadr’s list of demands upended expectations that a deal with Oman would soon allow commerce to flow through the strait once more and ease global energy prices. They will likely put pressure on President Trump to consider Iran’s conditions if he wants to lower consumer prices for Americans, which pose a risk for Republicans ahead of November’s midterm elections."
