I haven't started taking SS yet. I don't need the money so waiting a bit longer. Maybe next year. For now I'm taking distributions from my IRA to spread out the tax hit.
The way I heard it one of the details of the Big Beautiful Bill is no federal tax on SS but I didn't look into it yet.
I took SS early. To each, his own.
Didn't want to wait to receive what I paid into all my life. Just for a couple extra few bucks
