Thanks dude. @bubblehead & @thebrownblob are way more knowledgeable about union stuff than me. I stumbled upon brown cafe early in my career and some of the discussions these guys were having over there really sparked my interest in the union. Hopefully we can grow this community now and it will have the same effect on someone else.
Interested people who can listen and learn and make good decisions. Also make good union steward's, and maybe even eventually more than that if they choose. Wanting to leave the union in better shape them when you found. It is exactly the kind of people that should be in leadership roles at some point.
They could have made this process much easier on everyone including themselves.

At the end of the day, they actually despise us because we have such a great contract and make good money. They think we don’t deserve as well as benefits.
I believe this has come out more than ever because many of the people in charge of us no longer have to do our jobs. At one time, even though this was always a difficult place to work we were at least respected because those people in charge of us knew the job was difficult.
They have been screwing up from the beginning starting with the rushed first buyout offer.
That one was ridiculous. They gave you 13 days to make up you mind Gabe you an answer a week after the window closed and wanted you gone 3 weeks later .
It takes time to apply fir your pension and get the Healthcare squared away.

This is very true and it’s even true on the management side with their buyouts anyone with knowledge or history they would like gone so they could do as they please
